The 66th Independence Day 2012 celebrated

Indian Flag Flying High in Kanchanbari Sky in Tripura
The 66th India's Independence Day is Celebrated in most schools in Tripura. While keeping the pace with the schools of all Indian schools and offices, Dhana Singh Choudhury Memorial H S School also celebrated the day in a most convincing way.
Morning Assembly
Unlike many occasions,  the school authority did not take the risk of arranging many programmes owing to the weather condition prevailing now-a -days in this sylvan village situated at Kanchanbari, Unakoti Tripura. However, though simple, the school arranged a morning assembly and a rally around Kanchanbari market. It was raining cats and dogs the last evening and the night long and put every soul to thinking whether the sky would be clear to unfurl the flag in the morning as already chalked out the day before. But, to everybody's amazingment, the sky was clear and the sun was blazing even in the morning hours of the day. In fact, keeping oneself out for a long hour in the sun was posing a threat to all the assembled. The speeches are required to be abridged and cut short lest the blazing sun makes another victim causing one to fall on the ground.
On the part of the teachers, Mr. Jadish Chandra Bhowmik placed his speech and the students preferred refraining from making further delays. At last, the Assistant Headmaster concluded the ceremony after his short speech emphasizing on the duties of the learners in order to be responsible citizen of the country.
Another Scene of the Morning Assembly
As the programme in the field is over, the students took a rally around the market chanting patriotic slogans. In the market, the fellow citizens who believed in the  celebration of the day in an auspicious way have distributed to the children as the rally passed past through the market. Among such citizens, the local leaders took major part in it.The local panchayet leaders are seen distributing sweets to the children in front of their party office.
